Aquest desè volum de la Fundació Dr. Antoni Esteve recull les dades existents, les noves troballes i les perspectives de futur al voltant de l’agonisme invers. Els seus continguts sorgeixen del simposi celebrat el 2002 a S’Agaró (Girona) i que va moderar Adriaan Ijzerman, del Leiden/Ámsterdam Center for Drug Research. Es van presentar 23 ponències, una d’elles defensada per Pilar D’Ocon, de la Universitat de València i l’única representant espanyola, que s’han recollit en aquest volum de l’Esteve Foundation Symposia, publicat per Elsevier Science. Amb aquest llibre es pretén avançar una mica més en el camp científic de l’agonisme invers, un fenomen farmacològic del qual encara queda molt per conèixer.
