Alcorcón (Madrid) and Palma de Mallorca will host the sixth and seventh editions of the training seminars on How to Write a Scientific Article, organized by the Esteve Foundation. The first event will take place at the University Rey Juan Carlos in Alcorcón, next January 18 and 19, 2006. The second, at the Hospital Son Llàtzer of Palma de Mallorca, on May 8 and 9, 2006. In view of the remarkable success of the five preceding editions, these two new courses will feature the same design as their antecessors and will again be aimed at complementing the scarce training offered to biomedical professionals in scientific writing. Accordingly, these seminars are directed to young researchers with little experience in writing and publishing scientific works who are currently attending training programs (doctorate, specialization, postgrade, general) and are or will be part of an active research group.

These courses are intended to disclose the basic techniques and skills needed to write and publish scientific articles in health sciences. For that purpose, the dynamics will be based on participation and combination of theoretical-practical exposures based on published articles. Esteve Fernández and Ana Maria García, members of the Publishing Team of the journal Gaceta Sanitaria will again conduct the sessions. These seminars are scheduled as follows:
