Dr. Graham Darby, from the Department of Molecular Science of The Wellcome Foundation in Beckenham, England, imparted the seventh annual lecture of the Esteve Foundation: Current and future possibilities in the treatment of AIDS with antiviral agents. The meeting was held at the Royal Academy of Pharmacy on May 10, 1990 and its contents is published under the title Prospects for the therapy of HIV (Rev Farmacol Clin Exp 1990; 177-184). Dr. Darby is a worldwide acknowledged expert in the field of herpes virus, particularly concerning the mechanisms of resistance to antiviral medicinal products.
