Sometimes the mass media need to be more accurate in the way how they reflect the important scientific findings. In order to discuss some aspects about the relationship between science and journalism, the Esteve Foundation developed a first meeting on Scientific Journalism in Barcelona (2002). At this time, human genome sequencing was the selected topic to be discussed during a one-day meeting, November 15. Several articles published in the international press about the genome were taken as source documents.

All the articles with a summary of the discussions were published in the Esteve Foundation Booklet no 2.
