On June 29, 1987, in Barcelona, the Esteve Foundation organized the round table Basic research and clinical medicine. Eleven submissions were presented, dealing with topics such as research on cerebral circulation, cardiac automatism, pneumology or experimental bone surgery. Sergio Erill, Director of the Foundation, and José Vicente Castell, from the Research Center of Hospital La Fe of Valencia, edited Dr. Antonio Esteve’s Monograph number 7 with all the submissions of this event.
