A series or articles published in the British Medical Journal on how to teach and learn medicine. This is the content of the latest Esteve Foundation Booklet, presented on 30 January 2007 at El Palauet of Barcelona and introduced by Dr. Joan Rodés, general manager of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, and by Dr. Peter Cantillon, from the General Medicine Department of the National University of Ireland and one of the authors of the original English version: ABC of learning and teaching in medicine.

This ABC compiles the fourteen articles published by BMJ on the subject of learning and teaching in medicine. Texts are supported by didactic iconographies to illustrate how theory and educational research make teaching and learning viable. Together with Dr. Cantillon, this publication was co-edited by Linda Hutchinson, director of education at the University Hospital Lewisham of London, and by Diana Wood, director of medical education at the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine.

Blackwell Publishing, the publisher of the English original, authorized the Esteve Foundation to translate this publication into Spanish. Dr. Rodés reminded that, in the scope of the Bologna process, this publication is key in the reform of higher education in our country.
