The Covid-19 crisis has exposed the population to the main risk factors for mental health: isolation, grief, unemployment, domestic violence, etc. That is why the first signs of a hidden wave of the pandemic are already being seen: a veritable tsunami of psychiatric problems. However, individual and collective actions can be taken to limit the scope of this problem.
Readers of El Periódico had the opportunity to ask Ximena Goldberg, psychologist at the Institut de Salut Global de Barcelona (ISGlobal, a center promoted by the La Caixa Foundation) about these and other issues, in a live video meeting on the channels Youtube and Facebook of El Periódico, on July 21 at 6:00 p.m. Her intervention is part of the Health Conversations of the Women Communicating Scientists Network of El Periódico and the Dr. Antoni Esteve Foundation.
