The Dr. Esteve Foundation , under a collaboration agreement with the Cosnautasplatform, announces the concession in 2016 of three grants for doctors and scientists interested in medical translation.

These three complete grants are to attend the fourth edition of the summer course, Problems, methods and the latest questions in medical translation from the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo. The course will be held in Santander from 25 to 29 July 2016.

ENDOWMENT
Each grant includes free enrolment in the course (including administrative fees) and full-board accommodation at the Las Llamas Campus of Santander throughout the course, from an evening meal on Sunday 24 July to a midday meal on Friday 29 July, inclusive. The grant can only be used in situ; under no circumstances will it be paid in cash.

The grant does not include travelling expenses to the city of Santander, which will be covered by each grant holder.

CANDIDATES
Candidates of the grants may be people of any age from any country, who hold a university biosanitary degree (medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy, veterinary sciences, biology, biotecnology, etc.) or a technical-scientific degree (chemical sciences, physical sciences, engineering, etc.).

Anyone who has received a previous grant may not apply for a DR ESTEVE GRANTS FOR MEDICAL TRANSLATION.

DOCUMENTATION AND DEADLINES
Candidates can apply by email sent to the secretary of the Dr. Esteve Foundation: fundacion@esteve.org, indicating in the subject DR. ESTEVE FOUNDATION GRANTS FOR MEDICAL TRANSLATION.

The following application form of the grant should be filled in and attached, including an anonymous letter of presentation briefly explaining the interest of the candidate in attending the course (maximum 200 words).

The period to present candidatures opens on 18 May until 13 June 2016.

RESOLUTION
The candidates will be assessed by an Assessment Committee, formed by the following members:

– Fèlix Bosch, doctor and pharmacologist, director of the Dr. Esteve Foundation
– Javier Mas, doctor and translator, professor of the course
– Laura Munoa, doctor and translator, Cosnautas
– Fernando A. Navarro, doctor and translator, course director.

The decisions of the Assessment Committee will be final. The Dr. Esteve Esteve Foundation will announce the names of the three grant holders on Monday, 27 June. The grants may be declared void if candidates do not meet the requirements established in these regulations.
