The Esteve Foundation is another year presenting the congress of the Spanish Society of Pharmacology, which will take place from 16 to 18 September 2015, at the faculty of medicine and dentistry of Universidad de Valencia. This time, apart from the commiment of this non-profit institution for the congress, up to five different proposals are established, generally based on teaching and terminology.

1.- On 16 September, the first day of the congress, the Esteve Foundation is organizing a round table on teaching in pharmacology, in which professors from various Spanish universities will present strategies to improve face-to-face teaching.

2.- This round table will also be used for Fèlix Bosch, director of the Esteve Foundation, to present the seminar on pharmacology contents in Degree programmes, which will take place on 24 November, in which teaching experts will seek to update and standardize competencies in the subject of Pharmacology given by Spanish universities.

3.-The need to come to an agreement on pharmacology competencies in Degree programmes is the result of a study that has analyzed the study programmes of 22 Spanish universities that give five degrees in which pharmacology plays an important part. . Its first writer, Ainoa Forteza, will present it at the congress.

4.- To complete its commitment to teaching, the Esteve Foundation announces three Awards to teaching innovation for the three best works presented during the congress. The first prize is endowed with 1,000 euros, while the other two honorary mentions will receive free enrollment at any of the courses organized by the institution over the year throughout Spain.

5.-Lastly,Meritxell Guardiola, of Universitat Pompeu Fabra, will present the project that is being carried out by the pharmacology subject group in the new Medical Encylopaedia Dictionary in Catalan, the DEMCAT project, aimed at revising, updating and adapting terms referring to drugs.
