Este Esteve Foundation Symposia número 5 surge como resultado del simposio internacional organizado por la Fundación Dr. Antonio Esteve en octubre de 1992 sobre la farmacología de la diferenciación celular. Está editado por R.A. Rifkind, del Sloan-Kettering Institute de Nueva York. En esta reunión de trabajo se hizo una exploración de los mecanismos generales y específicos implicados en los sistemas inter e intracelulares relacionados con la transducción de señales implicadas en el crecimiento y desarrollo celular.
